The idea of the automobile division of Jain Udyog was conceived by Sir Ramesh Jain in the year 1994. By 1996, under his leadership, an authorized dealership of Maruti Suzuki was established in Tripura. By the 1st of September, 2001, Jain Udyog was also appointed to be the authorized Maruti Suzuki dealership for Silchar in Assam, which is located about 290 km to the North of Agartala. The year 2006 marked the incorporation of the new Agartala body shop, spread over an area of 10,000 sq. ft. Consequently, three e-outlets were also launched at Karimganj, Assam; Dharamnagar, Tripura; and Udaipur, Tripura in the years 2010, 2011, and 2012, respectively. Today, Jain Udyog operates two main outlets, four e-outlets, four r-outlets, three body shops, two commercial outlets, seven workshops, a NEXA showroom, and two True Value outlets.
